I'm a freelance journalist and fact checker who has written for NewYorker.com, Pacific Standard, Hazlitt, nymag.com, The Awl, and The Walrus, among other publications. In 2015 I received a fellowship from John Jay's Center on Media, Crime, and Justice/The Solutions Journalism Network to report on the child welfare system. I've also worked as a fact checker at New York and Discover, and as the associate editor at the award-winning general interest quarterly Maisonneuve. My work has twice been nominated for Canada's National Magazine Awards. I live in New York.
